Communication is such a challenge; he is having a really tough time finding the words or even keeping track of his thoughts. He is sad about the dogs; thinking he must leave them, but cannot put a name to the feeling, reason with it or do anything about it. He cannot even identify the emotion if I say it to him. I think babies are like that in that they just cry when something is wrong and it’s up to the parent to figure it out. Wet, hungry, cold or hot are easy, but sadness?
