As long as I have known Rob, he has been impeccably groomed. He would shower once, sometimes twice a day and always smelled amazing. Of late, I have been assisting with grooming, but more in the realm of “Hey let’s go shower” and “let me wash your back” or “you still have soap in your hair”. Sometimes he will look at the running shower and not know what to do, but a gentle push or gesture has always been sufficient. Today after a comment from his Mom that his facial hair was getting out of control, I took out all the shaving accoutrement, laid it neatly on the counter and gestured toward it. Rob lathered up and picked up the razor and seemed to know what was expected. I commenced my own grooming, glancing out the corner of my eye to make sure all was well. Perhaps Rob was wanting to set a trend with a new cutting edge (heh heh) shave design but it was quickly apparent that I was going to need to step in. Let us start by saying I have always been of the mind that men’s grooming is far less complicated than that which us ladies must endure, until that is I was tasked with this. A face is not an easy thing to shave! Do you go up or down or side to side and how on earth do you get under the nose and around the lips????? I was elbow deep in Gillette foam and could not get to my trusty YouTube, so I had to wing it. Fortunately my subject was compliant and I simply pulled and grimaced to try and encourage him to move his face into a shape that I could shave without slitting his jugular. The best part was the Aramis aftershave which I can still smell on my hands.

I’m excited for tomorrow when we can do it all over again #igotthis #offtotargetforsupplies
